Sagrantino di Montefalco is an intense and prestigious red wine produced in Umbria hills, in the centre of Italy. Grapes are crushed and de-stemmed, fermentation is made in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature at 28° C Ageing in barrels and tonneaux for 28 months. In bottle for at least 12 months.
Sagrantino di Montefalco by Adanti has intense ruby red colour. Powerful aromas on the nose, clean, pleasant, elegant, opening with reminescence of blackberry, blackcherry and violet followed by plum, blueberry, vanilla, pink pepper, tobacco, chocolate, cinnamon and mint. Tannic but balanced by the alcohol, full body, intense flavours, very pleasant.

The Winery: Adanti
The Adanti Farm is one of the historic cellars of the Montefalco area in Umbria; one of the first to produce Sagrantino wine. The estate today covers roughly fifty hectares of land located in the hilly areas of Arquata and Colcimino (Umbria). Many experts, such as Ian D’Agata of the International Wine Cellar and Decanter, believe Adanti to be one of the top three producers of this unique wine.
