Rosso di Montacino is a superb red wine produced in the land of Brunello. Usually the Brunello is destined to aging, the Rosso di Montalcino is to drink younger. It combines a good structure with particular pleasantness and freshness. The wine goes through a spontaneous fermentation driven by native yeasts in stainless steel tanks, it is then aged for 12 months in untoasted 54hl French oak barrels. And then bottled for a 3 month minimum period of refinement before release.
Rosso di Montalcino Podere Brizio by Dievole is fruity, fresh and elegant. It has floral aromas and aromas red forest fruit on the nose. It is well balanced and fresh on the palate with lively acidity that pairs with the rounded tannins.

Rosso di Montalcino Podere Brizio by Dievole pairs well with all Tuscan charcuterie, medium aged cheeses and pasta dishes. Try it with Pici all’Aglione or with Fiorentina Steak.
The Winery: Dievole
The Dievole estate has a long standing history in Tuscany, dating back as far as 1090, a date which they proudly bare upon their logo. Among many improvements implemented, Dievole no longer use herbicides and pesticides (all vineyards are currently in Organic conversion), they swapped the use of cultured yeasts for wild, and they replaced all international varietals with exclusively indigenous varieties. This renovation has been paramount in helping Dievole rediscover its authenticity and individuality and has resulted in an elegant range which are territorially reflective and show great varietal purity.
