Pinot Grigio Classico is an aromatic white wine from Trentino Alto-Adige, a region in northern Italy. Manual harvest and selection of the grapes; gentle whole cluster pressing and clarification of the must by natural sedimentation; slow fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, aging on the lees in steel tanks for 5-7 months.

Tasting notes
Pinot Grigio Classico by Cantina Terlano has an intensive straw yellow colour. It pairs stimulating fruit - reminiscent of grapefruit, lychee and white melon - with the floral aromatic character of a freshly mown meadow. With its finely balanced components – from aromas of black tea to exotic fruity nuances of melon and ripe grapefruit – this is a superbly full and at the same time mellow wine.

Best to be enjoyed with
The best way to pair Pinot Grigio Classico by Cantina Terlano is with South Tyrolean hors d’oeuvres such as smoked bacon, cured meats like Bündnerfleisch or venison salami, and their typical Italian counterparts like Parma ham, dried tomatoes and olive paté; herb risotto, nettle gnocchi or beetroot dumplings; lightly truffled dishes; tender veal and fine grilled fish.

The Winery: Cantina Terlano
Cantina Terlano is well known in Italian wine drinking circles for producing Italy’s longest lived white wines. Located in the heart of the Terlan wine-growing region and founded in 1893, it is one of the oldest Alto Adige coops. Furthermore, special older vintages have been stored in the valuable 'vinotheque'. This wine collection proves that Terlano’s wines are able to age harmoniously for decades.
