Open a sparkling wine
Sparkling wines do not only taste better if they have been chilled enough,
they also end up being far more easily de-corked.
Proceeding as follows, you should result safe and acknowledged as a true wine connoisseur.
- First of all, carefully remove the foil and the cage from your bottle, always pointing away from you or relatives.
- From this moment on, keep your thumb on top of the cork and your hand around the cap so you have the best possible grip to resist the pressure.
- Tilt the bottle and then, holding it with one hand and gripping the cork with the other, twist it firmly and gradually; do not actually twist the cork.
- Maintain the cork steady and keep going until you feel it slowly popping out; the cork’s removal should be achieved smoothly, with a slight noise and without losing any wine.
