Emilia-Romagna’s wine renaissance at the end of the 20th-century has been a welcome addition to an already richly bedecked local table. Since then, an increasing number of small, quality-minded estates have emerged on a new dynamic wine-growing scene. The region is actually one of the country most prolific ones wine-wise, producing expressive nectars that showcase the diverse terroirs and native grapes. It is very well-known for either frizzante or spumante, white or red sparkling wines - and especially for sparkling red Lambrusco. Apart of this, Sangiovese red grape is grown and very few rare others.
