Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico is one the most intriguing Italian red wine and it is produced in Veneto, a region in northern Italy. Amarone is a 'straw wine' made from grapes that have been dried to concentrate their juice. Amarone Le Vece is a prestigious version, produced only in the best harvest years. Selection of the Company's three best cru grapes. Drying of the grapes for 6 months. 36 months og ageing in barriques, 8 months in bottle for the final ageing process.
Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Le Vece by Le Salette has a dark ruby red color with purple highlights. Full bodied wine, balanced and concentrated with aromas of red dried fruit, prunes, licorice, spices and coffee. Long finish.

The Winery: Le Salette
Le Salette is well-established as one of the leading producers in Valpolicella located in the very high quality sub-area of Fumane. Winemaker and proprietor Franco Scamperle is adamant that each wine must be allowed to express the character of the soil from where the grapes are grown.
