Grape: Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

Unit Quantity: 750 ml
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is one of the most widespread vines in the Centre Italian region. It is a round and enjoyable red wine. The stalks are delicately stripped away before the grapes undergo maceration and fermentation for 15 days. An enjoyable every day wine.
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo by Caldora has ruby red colour with reflections of garnet. On the nose and palate this wine is intense, peristent and fruity. The fruits range from hints of red fruit to dark, with marasca cherry and prunes leading the way, while a delightful complexity is brought to the drinker through hints of spice and vanilla. It is full-bodied, round and soft but with a balancing freshness and bright tannins.
Best to be enjoyed with
An excellent way to pair Montepulciano d'Abruzzo by Caldora is with with cured meats, more robust starters, meat dishes and pecorino cheeses. Try it with arrosticini skewers (lamb meat) or chitarra fresh spaghetti with ragout.
