The Tuscany of Great Wines is not only Chianti and Brunello; this strong-character red is proof; derived from a traditional grape, the Ciliegiolo, it is able to convey deep emotions.
In a glass of deep ruby-red wine, cherry and berry aromas fluctuate jointly with spicy notes and a slight tone of wood in the background. In the mouth, the tannins are of medium intensity, silky and fine-grained, with a well-balanced acidity and a fair sapidity. The aftertaste is long and persistent, due to bold red berry aromas, in particular cherry and plum.
Best to be enjoyed with
When the opportunity of tasting such a sanguine wine arises, call your most voracious friends. It should be served with grilled red meat or aged cheeses, without many frills.
