Greco di Tufo is an aromatic white wine from Campania, a region in Southern Italy. It is one of the most appreciated white wines in Italy.
Greco di Tufo by Pietracupa has light, bright and intense straw yellow colour. An exemplary and complex tapestry of rare and delicate aromas: hedgerow, nectarines, kumquats, ferns, sage, white pepper and ginger. In contrast to the gentle nose, the palate has few rivals for flavour and energy with an overwhelming savoury-acid grip. Its long trajectory ends in an irrepressible glow of citron and white peaches.
Best to be enjoyed with
The best way to pair Greco di Tufo by Pietracupa is with fish recipes. Try it with foil-baked sea bream.
The Winery: Pietracupa
The young and talented Sabino “Sammy Bruno” Loffredo has quickly gained a reputation within Italy and beyond for some of the best Greco and Fiano wines around; Greco by Pietracupa, in particular, is considered by many to be the single best example of this variety. You might say Sabino has certainly lived up to his award of “Up and coming winery of the year 2006” in the Gambero Rosso.
